|„When God loves someone, He places them in this Land."
With these words Ludwig Ganghofer chose to describe his homeland of Southern Bavaria. It is here in this internationally beloved and astoundingly beautiful region of Rupertiwinkel and Chiemgau, that we chose to build our Hotel Inspiration. The mighty Alps dominate the southern horizon and our small village of Mayerhofen, Tittmoning, has one of the best views far away from the noise and traffic of city life.
Our business guests view the quiet "inspired rest" found here at our Hotel as one of the most priceless treasures of their stay with us.
In addition to our highest standards for cleanliness and attention to surpassing your expectations for a 3 Star Hotel, the idea of "inspired rest" has become the most important foundational value of all we offer our guests. Our "quiet excellence" helps to explain much of the "inspiration" in our name Hotel Inspiration even as the warm hearts of our Team and inspiring beauty of our Hotel and region help explain the rest. Come receive a healthy dose of "inspired rest" whether here on business or pleasure.
The cities of Salzburg, Austria, and Burghausen, Germany, are right next door offering their well-known Mediterranean atmosphere and beloved cultural attractions. Enjoy the "Sound of Music" Land in Salzburg (about 30-minute drive) and discover in Burghausen, Germany, the longest Castle (Burg) in Europe about 20-minute drive from our Hotel.
One of King Ludwig's famous Castles called, "Herrenchiemsee," is about 30-minute drive but you only have to drive 5 minutes to enjoy our own much smaller but still enchanting Castle here in Tittmoning. The region has the warmest lake in Oberbayern called Waginger See as well as the "Bavarian Ocean" called "Chiemsee" promising hours of enjoyment all year 'round. These are just some of the many inspiring attractions to see in our region having their own very rich cultural history developed over many centuries.
By the way, how many cities get to say the Pope attended their Kindergarten (Pope Benedict XVI, a.k.a. Josef Aloisius Ratzinger)? Our city of Tittmoning became a popular part of the larger Pope Benedict XVI tour of his life and times in Bavaria when he became Pope in 2005.
We warmly welcome you to be our guest in our tasteful, modern and individually designed rooms and to enjoy a breakfast with fresh meats and cheese from the best local sources we have to offer.
We encourage you to look through each room presented at this website and find a favorite color, design and view to make your stay as meaningful as possible.
Welcome to Rupertiwinkel and Chiemgau!
